Michael Olise completes transfer to Bayern Munich


Bayern Munich have officially completed the signing of winger Michael Olise from Crystal Palace for a fee of €60 million (£50.7 million), including add-ons. The 22-year-old’s transfer follows a competitive pursuit, with Chelsea and Newcastle United also showing strong interest.

Olise, who has been a standout performer in the Premier League, cited the allure of playing in the Champions League and the opportunity to work under coach Vincent Kompany as key factors in his decision to join Bayern.

“I am thrilled to join such a prestigious club like Bayern Munich. I couldn’t turn down the chance to compete at the highest level and develop under Vincent Kompany,” Olise expressed.

Despite injuries, Olise had an impressive season at Crystal Palace, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists. His contract with Palace was set to expire in 2027, but Bayern activated his release clause to secure the transfer.
